Mentorship and training for African Students, Private sector and Public institutions
Build the skills necessary for the current and future workforce in Africa.
Skills4afrika is not only a one-time recruitment event but in addition we want to upskill professionals, public institutions, graduates by redefining education, empowering youth and closing the skills gap through a combination of partnerships, trainings, real-world experiences and online classrooms. We want to empower our graduates in STEM by training and mentoring them. Our professionals in the private industry and in the public sector through training and capacity building.
For instance, statistics from the World Economic Forum reveal that currently, fewer than 2% of African students under 18 years complete school with vital Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Stem) skills.
Universities, Public institutions will make contact with mentors online through a registration form, where they will receive an interactive and reflective bespoke consultation before starting the training and mentoring journey. The synergy between collaborators will help achieve the aim and inspire.
Furthermore, we provide recommendations on evidence-based resources and approaches that are available to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics faculty and science educators.
Who can apply for mentorship ?
Mentor with expertise/experience in: Coaching and mentoring, learning and development, specialism in STEM subject and any additional subject.
Languages: French, English and Portuguese.

Melissa Muyembe

is a dedicated registered nurse with over 9 years of diverse experience in general medicine, respiratory care, and the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and sickle cell disease. Passionate about health education, she runs a YouTube channel, “La Santé et Nous,” where she discusses health issues affecting African communities.
Holding a Master’s degree in diabetes care, Melissa is currently pursuing a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, as well as a Level 3 Certificate in Assessment of Professional Achievement. With extensive experience within the British National Health Service, she is committed to sharing her knowledge with the Congolese community. Her goals include raising awareness about preventable diseases, managing chronic conditions, teaching essential life skills, promoting end-of-life care, and preventing infections.
Abdoulaziz Abdoulaye Adily
PhD-MSIA Candidat Global Climate Change and Health

Research Area:
Research interest is the impact of heat stress on human health. Before joining UNMC, Abdoulaziz worked at the United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP), International Federation for Red Cross (IFRC) in Niger, and International Relief and Development US. He possesses an extended experience assisting communities during severe food crisis in the Sahel which involved monetization and nutrition programs.

He has about 20 years of experience now in the field of Engineering and Information Technology. He has worked extensively in different projects that have brought some tremendous innovation reforms. He keeps a lot of his focus in infrastructure security, cloud security and deep research on better implementing automation practices within the DevSecOps environment.
